Warranty
Thank you for choosing Hekman Fine Upholstery. You have made an investment in lasting quality. The Hekman Fine Upholstery commitment to excellence results in a product that, with normal use, will provide years of comfort, service and beauty. To support our commitment to quality we offer a limited lifetime warranty on our product, as described below, against defects in material or workmanship. This warranty applies only under conditions of normal use, in a household environment. This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from negligence, misuse, accidents, or commercial use. Please read the terms of the limited lifetime warranty coverage carefully. Retain your proof of purchase and this printed warranty to substantiate your claim in the event warranty service is required. Any and all claims for service must be made through the retail dealer or designer where the furniture was purchased. There may be a dealer prep and/or service charge applied to warranty coverages. If the original selling dealer is not accessible, please contact a local Hekman Fine Upholstery dealer for assistance. Hekman Fine Upholstery will not be responsible for transportation, shipping, or packaging charges without prior approval from the manufacturer. Repair or replacement, as determined by Hekman Fine Upholstery will be made as soon as possible within normal business procedures.

Frame Warranty
The frame carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty to the original purchaser, against manufacturing defects under normal use andconditions as long as it is in the original fabric.
Coil Spring Warranty
The spring system carries a Lifetime Limited Warranty to the original purchaser, against manufacturing defects under normaluse and conditions as long as it is in the original fabric.
Leather Warranty
Leathers do not carry a warranty. Leathers have natural markings, wrinkles, stretch marks or variations in grain and color. These are nature’s signatures and prove the authenticity of the leather.
Seat Cushion Warranty
Cushions are under warranty for five (5) years against abnormal loss of resiliency, as long as it is used under normal wear and other normal conditions. Abnormal wear and abnormal loss of resiliency should not be confused with softening and flattening of the foam and fibers which are considered normal wear, and are not defects. It is recommended that you fluff and turn cushions frequently to get maximum wear for the cushion and its fabric or leather. You may also want to periodically adjust the cushion core and polyester wrap by unzipping the casing and adjusting the fit of the core and polyester. We do not suggest removing the cushion cores from their casings.
Back Pillows/Arm Pillows/Throw Pillows Warranty
Pillows utilize polyester fiber blends for superior comfort. Pillows are under warranty for one (1) year against defects in workmanship, including excessive flattening or resiliency loss. The loss of resiliency should not be confused with the softening or flatting of the fiber. This is a natural occurrence as a result of normal use and aging.
It is recommended that you fluff and turn pillows frequently to get maximum wear from fabrics and pillow materials.
Sleeper Mattress
The high quality quilted top; innerspring mattress used in Hekman/Woodmark sleepers is warranted for five years against manufacturing defects under conditions of normal, non-commercial use. Sleep on Air Mattress The mattress, air bladder and air bladder valve of the SLEEP ON AIR is warranted to the original owner for three years and the electric pump for one year under conditions of normal, non-commercial use. This warranty only covers defects in material or workmanship.
Steel Mechanisms
All sleeper mechanisms (all metal parts) are warranted, to the original purchaser, to be free of defects for three years from
the original date of purchase.
All recliner mechanisms (all metal parts) are warranted, to the original purchaser, to be free of defects for one year from the original date of purchase.
All swivel rocker and swivel glider mechanisms (all metal parts) are warranted, to the original purchaser, to be free of defects for one year from the original date of purchase.
Hekman /Woodmark will supply replacement parts for any defective mechanism to the dealer at no charge upon return of the original part with proof of purchase date.
Upholstery Fabrics – One Year Warranty
Upholstery fabrics are warranted against seam slippage, fraying and dye transfer for one year from original date of purchase, to the original purchaser, under normal care and use and only if professionally cleaned. Since textile manufacturers do not guarantee their products for wearability or color fastness, we cannot assume this responsibility. This warranty does not cover shrinkage, picks, wearing, wrinkling, fading, or pilling. This warranty is not valid where there is evidence of heavy soiling or abuse. Moreover, we cannot guarantee a match in fabric color on items ordered at different times.
Because upholstered furniture is made of soft, flexible materials designed for comfort, normal wrinkles and puckers may be present. Some fabrics may wrinkle slightly within a few months of use, but will look relaxed, even natural and should not be considered a flaw or interior workmanship.
It has been determined by the fabric industry that various fabric treatment processes are detrimental to the performance of fabrics. Therefore, neither Hekman/Woodmark nor the fabric mill will be responsible for any claims made involving fabrics that have retail-applied fabric treatments.
Care & Maintenance
Upholstered Furniture:
Flip, rotate and adjust all seat and back cushions as well as throw pillows once a week to insure even wear and increase the overall life of fabric and cushions.
To prevent overall soiling, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended.
Never remove cushion covers for separate cleaning or washing, even though they do have zippers. Do not use any tumble method or cleaning services as they may destroy the backing of the fabric.
Professional furniture cleaning is highly recommended to keep your upholstery fresh and looking new.
Leather Furniture:
Care of your leather furniture is very important. Although leather is very durable, it is not indestructible and improper care can result in problems unique to leather.
Leather is an animal skin that has been put through a tanning and finishing process to get to the product that you have selected for your furniture. Because of the various tanning and finishing processes all leather is not the same and reacts differently to various situations. These procedures can result in variations in the color, texture, and surface above those found in nature.
Lower cost leathers, often combined with matching vinyl products, are often "corrected" or "painted". When combined with artificial embossing to create uniform texture, these are usually more consistent in appearance than premium, natural leathers.
Most of Hekman Fine Upholstery leathers are "uncorrected", natural, premium leathers, which show all the natural circumstances of the skin—like veins, skin-wrinkles, and "trail marks" (branding marks, barbed wire marks, etc). These markings add to the natural appeal of the leather and are most often found on better furniture. These items are not considered defects.
Natural leather is inconsistent in color, texture and thickness, even within a single hide. Different areas of the hide absorb dyes differently, and have different graining patterns. While less consistent than "painted or embossed" leathers, It is these individual irregularities that make the leathers more naturally alluring. At Hekman Fine Upholstery, we take great care to make your furniture from the same dye lots in order to minimize color variation. The beauty of our "natural" leathers is in the individuality of the looks. It is this individuality that gives your furniture its natural appeal and lasting beauty.
Leather will fade with exposure to sunlight, either direct or indirect. Care should be taken when arranging your room to minimize sun exposure. Hekman/Woodmark does not warrant against leather fading.
Special care should be taken in the care of your leather furniture. Products are available that are specially formulated to clean leather. Your dealer can refer you to these products. Always try first cleaning a small, inconspicuous area of your furniture. If fading, discoloration, or anything affecting the color or texture of the leather occurs, go no farther. A professional leather cleaner should be contacted immediately to help you with your problem. Hekman Fine Upholstery will not be responsible for attempts to clean leather which yield unsatisfactory results.
